The Rossland Skate Park Association would like to provide a huge thanks to Teck Trail Operations for the generous support of $10,000. These dollars will be going directly to the design phase of the skate park which will provide the RSA with a detailed budget, Blueprints, 3-D images, and a breakdown of the building process.
Update of recent activates: As a result of the June 11, 2011 resolution from council naming the South-East Corner of the Emcon lot (3rd and Washington) we have we started the design phase of our project. On Nov 3rd we held our first Open Design Planning Meeting in which participants were asked to complete a survey. We have summarized the results of this survey into our Design Intent, which forms the basis for conceptual design. Currently we are in the final stages of developing a Request For Proposal to be sent out to potential Designer and expect to have a firm selected and an agreement in place by early March. Keep an eye out for future meetings as we will be looking for your input as the design comes together.

The RSA would like to send a big Thank You out to the people of Warfield. RSA volunteers were out canvassing the neighborhoods of Warfield for donations of empty returnable bottles on Sunday June 20th, Father's Day, and the people of Warfield responded generously. Lots of people were out for the day partaking in special activities but those who were home were happy to help. The final tally is in and the Warfield Bottle drive raised $547.00! We would also like to thank the volunteers who were out doing the collecting, and the Trail Bottle depot for their help, it is this kind of support and enthusiasm that is going to pave the way for the ultimate goal of a fantastic skatepark in Rossland!
