Last night Whistler based Hip Hop duo ANIMAL NATION, aka Tall Man & Armadillo Slim, threw down some seriously funky old school inspired beats. Performing at The Flying Steamshovel in Rossland, the wildly energetic pair kicked out two sets of original tunes and a couple of classic covers including the Biz Markie classic "Just a friend" and Steely Dan's "The Fez".

The crowd at the Steamshovel was small (it was a Tuesday night) but those who came out were not disappointed and there were even a few lovely ladies who got up and joined the band, dancing in front. Even the music the DJ played inbetween sets was full of classic hip hop. The next time ANIMAL NATION hits Rossland, any fan of booty-shakin good-time party hip hop should make their way out and get down.
