On December 4th, 2009 Rossland City Council approved a skatepark on the Mid-transition lot (Emcon Lot).  We had gone to Council several times with the proposal for a skatepark. Most recently, at their request, we submitted an evaluation of five potential park locations within Rossland. Included with our proposal was that we be granted permission to raise the money ourselves to construct a mid-size skatepark, which they would manage once it was completed.

Council granted us a two-year window to raise the funds, and agreed to consider a ~ 1,400 square meter skatepark in the Northwest corner of the lot.

Currently we are focusing our efforts on gathering further support in the form of Public Awareness, Volunteers, Grants and Donations and Events. We are always looking for new members and ideas.
