RSA picks Spectrum to design park!
RSA has picked Spectrum Skatepark Creations out of Vancouver to design the Rossland park!
We are totally stoked to have Spectrum as our designer! Check out all the parks they've done in Canada here - the list includes Kaslo, which a lot of you know, and also such stellar sites as Winnipeg's plaza park. Spectrum, led by Jim Barnum, is 100% skater owned and operated.
Jim is going to be taking the input we gathered at the design meetings here in town and coming to Rossland in the next month or so to show us what they've cooked up. We'll keep you posted -- that will be your chance to give us more feedback on the design before they go off again to produce a final version.
Once we have the design and full budget our fundraising can swing into full gear. We already raised contributions from Teck, Rossland Rotary and Telus to almost fully cover the cost of the design process, and a big thanks goes out to those guys for their support.

The Rossland Skate Park Association would like to provide a huge thanks to Teck Trail Operations for the generous support of $10,000. These dollars will be going directly to the design phase of the skate park which will provide the RSA with a detailed budget, Blueprints, 3-D images, and a breakdown of the building process.
